Can I add more visits if my return home is delayed?

Absolutely! Making sure your pets are cared for properly is my top priority. However, depending on my schedule, I may have to make slight changes to the time and duration of my visit.

What can you do if my pet seems unwell during visits?

The first thing I would do is contact you. I would share my concerns with you and discuss taking your pet to see a veterinarian. During our initial consultation, one of the forms you will fill out is a veterinary release for this kind of potential event.

How do you ensure that my pets don't get out/lost while under your care?

I do a full inspection of your yard to make sure pets are secure. When I take dogs on leashed walks, I ensure their collar is secure so they cannot slip it off should something startle or excite them, and I never take them off-leash. I also double check that all doors and windows are closed and securely locked.

Do you offer services outside of your service area?

Sometimes I may agree to work outside of my service area. It depends on where you are located, my current schedule, and the dates/times you need. Additional charges may apply. Please contact me to find out more.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, checks, and digital payments through PayPal and Venmo. My links are @ShannonNunnery and @FurmiliarComfort.

Digital payments are due no later than 24 hours before the date of service. Physical payments may be left in your home for receipt
upon my first visit. In the event extra fees are incurred during service dates, an invoice will be left. Extra fees could include
but are not limited to emergency vet visits, excessive pet waste/accident clean up, pet food purchases, etc. Please refer to
Terms and Agreements for full details.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the date of service are subject to 25% of the total
estimate.

How can you help protect my home from burglary?

By selecting me as your pet sitter, or house sitter for non-pet owners, I keep your home from appearing vacant by turning lights on during evening hours, opening window coverings in the morning, and bringing in mail and packages. Keeping your home looking lived in reduces the chances of it becoming a target for theft. Check out my post on home safety for more information.

What happens if someone breaks into my home while I'm gone?

The thought of a break-in or burglary in your home is very unsettling. I want you, first of all, to feel comfort in knowing that I do everything within my abilities to prevent such a disaster from happening. And, although I have never experienced such a tragedy while on my watch, I do know fellow pet sitters that have experienced this.

The first course of action I would take is call 911 to report the break-in and request assistance. Next, I would locate all pets and place them in a secured room to prevent a runaway situation. Then I would contact you and provide constant updates on the situation. I would also evaluate your home and take pictures and videos to collect as evidence of damage or missing items.

Do you require a copy of my house keys?

I can hold on to a house key copy and it will always be stored properly. Another alternative is to purchase a lock key box. I have some great recommendations in this blog that you can consider. If your house has a key pad, you can also consider giving me a special code that is only valid during my visitis.
