We’ve been using Shannon with Furmiliar Comfort for the past year, and I can’t say enough great things about her. My husband and I don’t have children, so our sweet Lemon means the world to us and we had high expectations for a pet sitter, and Shannon definitely exceeded that. From day one, she has been so kind, gentle, and patient with our dog, always making little adjustments to make sure she’s comfortable and at ease. What really stood out is how much she genuinely cares. She treats our dog like her own, which means everything to us. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog wasn’t just being looked after, but truly loved and cared for while we were away. We’ve relied on her every week for midday visits to give our dog medication while we’re at work. That consistency has meant so much to us, and even though she’s done this many times, she never treats it like a routine task. She always takes the time to read how our dog is feeling that day and adjusts her approach accordingly. Shannon is also very professional and keeps everything documented and provides detailed updates from each visit, which we really appreciate especially since our dog requires medical attention. With her background as a vet tech, it’s clear she knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s very observant and always aware of any potential symptoms or concerns, which made us feel even more confident. You can absolutely tell that she loves her job! Every time she cared for our dog, we felt completely reassured knowing she’s in such good hands. She’s dependable and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! We knew Shannon was the right choice during our first conversation on the phone. She picked up on small cues from our pups instantly and provided loads of helpful knowledge as she got to know the family. Our pups felt comfortable and immediately relaxed in her presence. Not only did she take excellent care of our pups and our home, but she also took the time to check on them as our flight was delayed. Each day we looked forward to receiving our report cards and photographs of our pups while in her care. Shannon put our worries at ease when we needed to leave town for a week. She genuinely cared for our pets and respected and honored all of our requests. In our time, she made 2 visits a day with feeding and play time and allowed us to choose the time of the day and how long to accompany them. Do not send your pets to a foreign place, keep them in the comfort of your home and avoid the worries. Biggest benefit is her flexibility. We used Shannon's pet sitting services for our 5 pups, which includes one with severe stranger danger anxiety. Shannon was absolutely wonderful with our dogs and handled our pup with anxiety perfectly. I love that Shannon has a background as a vet tech and she is cpr and first aid certified. She is very professional and we will definitely use her again for pet sitting!
